The nursery children have been doing a themed Robin Hood week. They collected plants from the forest area and took them back to the nursery. The children squished the plants into a pulp to make a dye. They used this to colour their tunics made from pillow cases.
Their week ended with an ‘experience day’, Robin Hood and is Merry Band held a jousting event (with foam sticks!) before ending the day with a trip to the forest area for a campfire. The modern day Robin used a kelly kettle to make hot chocolate and popped popcorn over the hot embers. A great day /week was had by all.
