GYOP is now bigger and better! AHDB Potatoes would like to invite you to take part in Grow Your Own Potatoes, a fantastic FREE growing project for Primary schools. Following another very successful year with schools across the country planting and harvesting their free seed potatoes, AHDB Potatoes will be running the activity again, but for 2016 we have made it even better! This time we are allowing each school to register up to 4 separate classes to receive a FREE growing kit, so why not challenge a colleague or even the whole year group to a growing competition, after all you’ve done it before, so you should have the advantage. Each growing kit will contain everything you need to produce two crops of potatoes which you can then harvest and cook. Don’t forget the project is supported by the GYOP website where you can download worksheets and lesson plans to help educate children about how potatoes grow, where their food comes from and all about a healthy balanced diet.
